Hey Sara!!
This is maybe weird to put here since this film came out five years ago now, but I just wanted you to know how well appreciated this film is by so many of the people who enjoy Jeff's music. I'm a part of a group on facebook dedicated to all the projects Jeff's been a part of, past and present, and this film is something that everyone (4,525 members) brings up regularly and talks so fondly of! Thanks for making such a wonderful film about my favorite band waaaay before they even became my favorite band. This film is a truly important document of DIY punk in the late 2000's/early 2010's and every single person I've sat down and made watch it with me has come out of it a Bomb the Music Industry/Jeff Rosenstock fan!
I've met Jeff a few times over the years, and even booked him a show for the most recent tour he was supposed to go on, but it ended up not happening due to COVID-19. I've mentioned to him a few different times that the world really needs the recordings of the final BtMI! show at the Warsaw to be released someday! He's said the mix is a bit hard to work with in it's current state, but he hopes to release it someday. I'm sure there's a whole plethora of cutting room floor footage that didn't make it into the movie or extra footage of that show in Eureka, CA! Would you ever consider releasing it? I've seen some clips here and there on Vimeo, like the footage of "Can't Complain / King of Minneapolis Pt. 4" at the last show, and "Don't Destroy Yourself" in Eureka. It would be super awesome to see more of the show footage, or interview footage that didn't end up in the finished product!
Anyways, I feel like I'm rambling and there's a chance you'll never even read this, but if you do, at the core of it, I just wanted to say you made something truly important and wonderful, and I'm eternally grateful for your hard work, as are many others!!
Oliver
